Gingerbread 2021

We decided to make a gingerbread house this year. I made some butter for the gingerbread and saved the buttermilk.

We ate some of the trimmings and gave some to neighbors Kathy and M’liss. I let some dry and ground them up and used them to make a crumb crust for a peppermint flavored cheesecake. Sarika is very excited about this.

I used the buttermilk to make some English muffins.

English muffins do look nicer when you cut the dough into circles, but they sure are easier to make this way and I reckon they’ll taste just as good.
