Ingredients:
▢ 1 cup Turkish pepper paste (or roasted red peppers)
▢ 1 cup tomato purée (or passata)
▢ 1 cup breadcrumbs
▢ ½ cup olive oil
▢ 1 tbsp ground cumin
▢ 1 cup walnuts (ground)
▢ Juice of half a lemon
▢ 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
▢ 2 cloves of crushed garlic
▢ 1 tsp black pepper
Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients, and you’re done!
2. The amounts above are a more of a guideline. You may want to grind the walnuts roughly for the muhammara to be crunchy, add more pomegranate molasses for sweetness, or use freshly ground cumin seeds for a spicier spread.
